1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was [a]formless and void, and darkness was over the [b]surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was [c]moving over the [d]surface of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”;
This first phrase in the film above is NOT in the Bible and may or may not be 100% accurate, but the spirit of this heaven scene is.
Some believe that between the first and second verse of Genesis1 there has been an age or ages pass. That fallen angels have wrecked the joint, and God in the same spirit that He pursues in the present creation, (namely calling one person or people, then setting them aside for another who will more accurately carry out the Word of the Lord,) that this is in fact what happens here.He puts aside the first sons for the second who are made from earthy clay. And part of this same challenge of man's status is the same as Satan's words in Job Chapter 1, although this is all unknown to Job.
8 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you [c]considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, [d]fearing God and turning away from evil.” 9 Then Satan answered the [e]Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.”
Certainly God is very clear that the earth is given to the sons of men to subdue it.
Genesis 1 :28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the [al]sky and over every living thing that [am]moves on the earth.” 2
Psalm 115:16 The heavens are the heavens of the LORD, But the earth He has given to the sons of men.
And the devil, Lucifer, the fallen angel heading up a whole heirarchy of fallen beings is absolutely intent to steal the rule of the Earth from man.
Jesus said of him
John 10:10 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and [a]have it abundantly.
John 8:44 He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
"What is this thing of clay?" the devil asks in this scene.
Genesis2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living [f]being.
Psalm8 :4What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?
5Yet You have made him a little lower than God,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!
This is not direct scripture, and uses the phrase judgment to mean to "serve the judgment written."
In a Court of Law the judge decides what the judgment shall be, then serves the judgment.
The legal side of God's judgment was served in His own Body on the Cross
Colossians 2:13 And you which were dead in sins, and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, forgiving you all your trespasses,
14 And putting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, he even took it out of the way, and fastened it upon the cross,
15 And hath spoiled the Principalities, and Powers, and hath made a show of them openly, and hath triumphed over them in the same cross. [Geneva Bible]
But you must have noticed the underplayed resurrection, even being mistaken momentarily for the gardner? This seems hamfisted on so momentous an occasion? It is because God has left serving the notice of this judgment in man's hand, since as written above, the earth is given to the sons of men.
It is to be served

It is to be served
- in the folly of preaching1 Corinthians 1:21For when in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
- in the declaration of faith by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth
- in the serving of notice by God's people to the principalities and powers
Ephesians 6 Put on the whole armour of God....having done all to stand.....(stand firm believing in God's statement on the Cross "It is finished.")
Psalm 149:9 To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones.
Psalm 134 (The final act in the Psalms of Ascents)Behold, bless the Lord, all servants of the Lord,
Who [a]serve by night in the house of the Lord!
2 Lift up your hands to the sanctuary
And bless the Lord.
3 May the Lord bless you from Zion,
He who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 24 Describes God raising up a people who KNOW their righteousness in Christ and then declare:
v.7 Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up, O [f]ancient doors,
That the King of glory may come in!David's phrase in Psalm 138
Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, And give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. For David that meant even though as God's King he had sullied the reputation of the God of the whole earth....God had magnified His Word to David over all this and had kept His Word to David.
God looks at all the people He has made through the work of the cross and has established that even though en route His Great Name may have been cast down in the mud....the end result is the POWER OF HIS WORD now reproduced in a congregation without number.
Revelation 7:9 After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 and they cry with a great voice, saying, Salvation unto our God who sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Jesus overcame the devil in the wilderness
The third and last great temptation was to bow to him as ruler
Matthew 4 :8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[e]”
He didn't deny his rule.
Jesus denied His right to rule.
Ern Baxter covers this in His incredible 1975 sermon
Psalm 24 states The Earth is the Lord's
The devil controls the world system or Gk "kosmos"...."this present world" which consists only of those willingly submitted to his lying reign.Hebrews 4:15For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Jesus defeated the devil in an all out battle on the 40th day of His fast in the wilderness. This is the time your body starts to break down living tissue and is the meaning behind the phrase "he hungered." Up until this point the body uses up its own fatburning tissues and it is fairly common for those who fast to do so up until around the fortieth day. Moses exceeded this and fasted without food or water. This is totally supernatural, but then He was in the Presence of supernatural Bread and supernatural Living Water!!!
Jesus walked by the Spirit all through His ministry but in the Upper Room He knew He had defeated the devil in all points and it was His time to graduate.
John12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto myself.
33 But this he said, signifying by what manner of death he should die.
John 14:30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh: and he hath nothing in me;
Notice again he IS referred to as the prince of this world....if not exactly KING!!!
Colossians 2:13-15 3 And you -- being dead in the trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh -- He made alive together with him, having forgiven you all the trespasses,
14 having blotted out the handwriting in the ordinances that is against us, that was contrary to us, and he hath taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross;
15 having stripped the principalities and the authorities, he made a show of them openly -- having triumphed over them in it.
So this Perfect Lamb, tested in all points without sin, could, in His own body supernaturally take into Himself all the penalty for all sin forever, all demands of the Law, and having done all this, in His final breath of "It is finished" make a total show of their powerless state from hereon in.

This phrase appears here in Psalm 40
Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and present Thou hast not desired, Ears Thou hast prepared for me, Burnt and sin-offering Thou hast not asked.
7 Then said I, `Lo, I have come,' In the roll of the book it is written of me,
8 To do Thy pleasure, my God, I have delighted, And Thy law [is] within my heart.
Then later in Hebrews 10
Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore, coming into the world, he saith, `Sacrifice and offering Thou didst not will, and a body Thou didst prepare for me,
6 in burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offerings, Thou didst not delight,
7 then I said, Lo, I come, (in a volume of the book it hath been written concerning me,) to do, O God, Thy will;'
8 saying above -- `Sacrifice, and offering, and burnt-offerings, and concerning sin-offering Thou didst not will, nor delight in,' -- which according to the law are offered --
9 then he said, `Lo, I come to do, O God, Thy will;' he doth take away the first that the second he may establish;
10 in the which will we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once,
"In the which will we are sanctified" IS HUUUUUGE. Because it means whereas before in Christianity there has been a pathological hatred of will, and distrust in it....this is saying We have been taken INTO the will of Christ. We can trust Him in us...providing we hold firm in our believing of Him living our life.

2 Phrases NOT in scripture as such
Norman Grubb's Freefall of faith....to describe the action of cutting loose from all the things you relied on to support you and casting your self upon the Lord. To others it looks as if you are freefalling into nothing.
"From Gethsemane He carried us" is pure revelation which is coming through Rich Novek in his book Rich in Christ and in Daniel Yordy's Covenant series. Jesus needs a new container to carry Him in fulness...that is the Church, being the Body and He the Head.
Hebrews 2:14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--
Mark 15:33-34 At noon the sky became extremely dark. The darkness lasted three hours. At three o’clock, Jesus groaned out of the depths, crying loudly, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”
Genesis 3:24 yea, he casteth out the man, and causeth to dwell at the east of the garden of Eden the cherubs and the flame of the sword which is turning itself round to guard the way of the tree of life.
Hebrews 4:9
11 So let us move forward to enter this rest, so that none of us fall into the kind of faithless disobedience that prevented them from entering. 12 The word of God, you see, is alive and moving; sharper than a double-edged sword; piercing the divide between soul and spirit, joints and marrow; able to judge the thoughts and will of the heart. 13 No creature can hide from God: God sees all. Everyone and everything is exposed, opened for His inspection; and He’s the One we will have to explain ourselves to.
Matthew 6:23 But if your eye is [l]bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!
Hebrews 4:9

Yesterday I wrote on Facebook
Like a dentist trying to build up a tooth, the first bit of your Christian life is about drilling. The Spirit drills through to the ROCK which is who you really are in God. Some like Mary Magdalen have nowhere else to turn and this process is quick. Some like the apostles take 3 and a half years and some terrifying experiences. As a rule of thumb the WORST thing to cut through is the TREE of GOOD part of the old Tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
These things Jesus was dealing with:
- feeling of a distant God 1 John 3:20 NIV whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
- all false innerseeing -this is a huge subject, such are the myriad fragments and shards of false believing sown in Genesis 3. ie that God is an angry God, and not really out for our best anyway
- the root Satan spirit behind all wrongdoing
- the delusion of a self-powered soul
- all that just "isn't God" going on. When things don't flow. When we're trying too hard and it's fake behaviour
2 Corinthians 5:21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
I don't know if you can catch this in a Bible Study but the supernatural tearing of the veil...something that was really high and thick in the time of Jesus, has awesome meaning.
Can you catch this?
As we approach God coming into His House there are three areas.
Now in the old Testament they had the "outer versions" of heavenly realities. That is, in heaven, this is actually how heaven is....but spiritually. Now in our experience of Christ these realities are ours too....but within us as God draws us to Himself .
The three areas are
The Outer Courts...literally a courtyard
The Holy place The first part of the covered Tent or tabernacle
The Holiest Place where the Shekinah glory of God's actual Presence was.
People find it hard to think that a picture or diagram can mean several things at once, but this is heavenly reality. They simultaneously mean many many things. Which is why David said in the psalms "There is one thing i desire of the Lord that i may dwell all the days of my life in the temple of the Lord". He meditated for time on end about the whole layout....which is actually what it's there for.
But one meaning of the layout is like this:
The Israelites experience of God was quite formal. They knew about forgiveness of sins and the importance of believing God's Word....but this is all dealt with in the outer courts.
Jesus grabbed a set of 12 fishermen and assorted tradesfolk and took them FROM this kind of general Israeli believing, and introduced them to the power of God.
This is similar to today's charismatic movement. And that's how they knew Jesus UNTIL the Upper Room...John ch12 to 17
Then Jesus, knowing that it would be too much for them now, but that later they would remember, began to speak to them about this third level of believing, this third room of God's House.
But it DIDN'T become reality until the NEXT DAY....even though while it was going on, the disciples were nowhere to be seen. Only John and Jesus' mother Mary and the other Mary hung around when Jesus was dying. But IT WAS AT THAT PRECISE MOMENT that GOD the Father acted Sovereignly from the top down, and tore the last separation between God and man....the veil into the Holy of Holies.
Third Level Christianity is now open
Beyond just supernatural power, it's a complete UNION with God made totally possible by the Blood of Jesus.
What we believe on our insides actually takes place in the whole of our lives. So if we get real revelation that the veil is torn and now we are free to enter right into God Himself, our whole type of Christianity will be immediately different, and the long term effects will be totally different on earth too.
"What we 'catch' ,catches us" .Norman Grubb.
Galations 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. KJV
If your Bible does not say "of the Son of God" it's missing a trick from the Greek original.
The reason why you or any of us will be really motoring in Christ is because we realise it's not according to "our" faith...His faith in us is going to be doing all the incredibly wonderful things in our lives.
Apart from Corrie Ten Boom and Norman Grubb who are nolonger with us, these are all friends of many of us on Facebook.
Luke 9:54 When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” 55 But He turned and rebuked them, [[ah]and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; 56 for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they went on to another village.
But I've linked this idea with another episode.
Luke 10 :18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Here the disciples had been sent out on mission and had seen the most extraordinary miracles. Because of this context commentators seem divided as to what Jesus implied by saying he saw Satan fall.
Was he pleased, and through the disciples miracles he could see the devil losing power...or was He rebuking the disciples that they were too proud and should watch it, because He had seen Satan fall out of heaven with a similar pride, for this reason saying don't rejoice in the power....rejoice that you've been included in heaven at all.
But THERE ARE TWO Skyfalls. One is the necessary fall of Lucifer who makes himself rise to exalt himself to the level of God if He could. The other, as quoted is from Philippians 2 and catches something of the spirit of the original Bond theme as well as describing why Third Level Christianity is so different from other forms. (Taking third level from the third stage of growth in 1 John 2....you have known Him who is from the begining...who? the Father, but also His plan from the Beginning with Jesus the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.)
5 Have this attitude [e]in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be [f]grasped, 7 but [g]emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death [h]on a cross. 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead [f]in our transgressions, made us alive together [g]with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
John 12:23 And Jesus *answered them, saying, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 He who loves his [h]life loses it, and he who hates his [i]life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 26 If anyone [j]serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone [k]serves Me, the Father will honor him.
This concludes the Bible scriptures used in the video clip and some of the ideas surrounding the choruses and verses.
