Off the Chequerboard

How can a Rothschild or a Russell or some other quintessentially well spoken and well bred Englishman be among the Council of 300 to usher in world rule?
How can we defeat Hitler costing us so dearly, next thing we know we're in a Cold War? Then right after that we learn
the United Nations itself is built around Lucis Trust (formerly the more overt Lucifer Trust)?
Well you see evil isn't quite as simple as evil.

Evil is thinking you are a selfpowered soul capable of choosing between good and evil. In other words IT'S related to the condition of the THE WHOLE BLACK AND WHITE CHESSBOARD!!!!

The Expanding World of Poverty Capitalism by Thomas B Edsall

Julie Rist pointed some of us to this article in the New York Times

In Orange County, Calif., the probation department’s “supervised electronic confinement program,” which monitors the movements of low-risk offenders, has been outsourced to a private company, Sentinel Offender Services. The company, by its own account, oversees case management, including breath alcohol and drug-testing services, “all at no cost to county taxpayers.”

Sentinel makes its money by getting the offenders on probation to pay for the company’s services. Charges can range from $35 to $100 a month.

The company boasts of having contracts with more than 200 government agencies, and it takes pride in the “development of offender funded programs where any of our services can be provided at no cost to the agency.”

What should be done to interrupt the dangerous feedback loop between low-level crime and extortionate punishment?

Sentinel is a part of the expanding universe of poverty capitalism. In this unique sector of the economy, costs of essential government services are shifted to the poor.

In terms of food, housing and other essentials, the cost of being poor has always been exorbitant. Landlords, grocery stores and other commercial enterprises have all found ways to profit from those at the bottom of the ladder.

The recent drive toward privatization of government functions has turned traditional public services into profit-making enterprises as well.

In addition to probation, municipal.......................    The remainder of this New York Time article can be read here

The High Cost of Poverty: Why the Poor Pay More
By DeNeen L. Brown
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, May 18, 2009

You have to be rich to be poor.

That's what some people who have never lived below the poverty line don't understand.

Put it another way: The poorer you are, the more things cost. More in money, time, hassle, exhaustion, menace. This is a fact of life that reality television and magazines don't often explain.

So we'll explain it here. Consider this a primer on the economics of poverty.

"The poor pay more for a gallon of milk; they pay more on a capital basis for inferior housing," says Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.). "The poor and 100 million who are struggling for the middle class actually end up paying more for transportation, for housing, for health care, for mortgages. They get steered to subprime lending. . . . The poor pay more for things middle-class America takes for granted."

Poverty 101: We'll start with the basics.

Like food: You don't have a car to get to a supermarket, much less to Costco or Trader Joe's, where the middle class goes to save money. You don't have three hours to take the bus. So you buy groceries at the corner store, where a gallon of milk costs an extra dollar.

A loaf of bread there costs you $2.99 for white. For wheat, it's $3.79. The clerk behind the counter tells you the gallon of leaking milk in the bottom of the back cooler is $4.99. She holds up four fingers to clarify. The milk is beneath the shelf that holds beef bologna for $3.79. A pound of butter sells for $4.49. In the back of the store are fruits and vegetables. The green peppers are shriveled, the bananas are more brown than yellow, the oranges are picked over.

(At a Safeway on Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda, the wheat bread costs $1.19, and white bread is on sale for $1. A gallon of milk costs $3.49 -- $2.99 if you buy two gallons. A pound of butter is $2.49. Beef bologna is on sale, two packages for $5.)

Prices in urban corner stores are almost always higher, economists say. And sometimes, prices in supermarkets in poorer neighborhoods are higher. Many of these stores charge more because the cost of doing business in some neighborhoods is higher. "First, they are probably paying more on goods because they don't get the low wholesale price that bigger stores get," says Bradley R. Schiller, a professor emeritus at American University and the author of "The Economics of Poverty and Discrimination."

"The real estate is higher. The fact that volume is low means fewer sales per worker. They make fewer dollars of revenue per square foot of space. They don't end up making more money. Every corner grocery store wishes they had profits their customers think they have."

According to the Census Bureau, more than 37 million people in the country live below the poverty line. The poor know these facts of life. These facts become their lives.

Notes on Proverbs 26,an example of how wisdom is cleverer than linear thinking.

To Answer a Fool—or Not
by David F. Maas
Forerunner, "Ready Answer," June 2007

Read Original here
"Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
lest you also be like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes."—Proverbs 26:4-5

A recent Google search on the topic, "Contradictions in the Bible," yielded over a 1,360,000 hits. On one side of the debate appeared the strange bedfellows of Islamic fundamentalists and secular-progressive atheists proclaiming Christian fundamentalists "brain-dead" for not accepting their carefully studied positions. On the other side, Christian fundamentalists and apologists systematically countered each alleged discrepancy with a reasonable and scholarly explanation.

One "point-counterpoint" standoff rages between The Encyclopedia of Biblical Errancy, edited by Dennis McKinsey and the Tektronikon Encyclopedia Apologetica, edited by James Patrick Holding. The latter not only offers chapter-by-chapter rebuttals to McKinsey's massive tome, but also for many other less ambitious works such as 101 Clear Bible Errors, plagiarized under many different names on the Internet. In his article, "Is Proverbs in Contradiction on Answering Fools?" Holding feels that the alleged contradiction between Proverbs 26:4-5

wins a major award for silliness. What we have here is not contradiction, but dilemma—an indication that when it comes to answering fools, you cannot win—because they are fools, and there is no practical cure for foolery (as this citation demonstrates). So: It is unwise to argue with a fool at his own level and recognize his own foolish suppositions, but it is good sometimes to refute him soundly, lest his foolishness seem to be confirmed by your silence.

Reasonable Expectations

In his Alleged Contradictions in the Bible, B. J. Clarke points out that the close proximity of these verses (back to back) would rule out the idea of discrepancy even for the most sophomoric of scholars. James Jackson, in his article, "Answering the Fool," suggests that "such close proximity reflects design, not disorder."

Dr. E. W. Bullinger suggests that the connection between these verses can be explained by an ellipsis (something deliberately left out to grab the reader's attention) beginning in verse 3, which compares reasoning with a fool to reasoning with a donkey. Rather than considering these proverbs as absolute commands, the reader finds cause-and-effect cautions: If you answer a fool, you will be like him, but if you do not answer a fool, he will assume you are like him. Either way, we would lose.

Along with ellipsis, the technique of parallelism (repeated similarities used for rhetorical effect) is used throughout Proverbs to amplify meaning. Consider Proverbs 28:1: "The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion." In this light, Proverbs 26:4-5 can be read: "Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him. [But on the other hand,] answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes."

Paradox provides another explanation for the alleged "contradiction." Lynn Anderson, in his article "The Case for Mystery," asserts that the Bible embraces paradoxes throughout. The apostle Paul, for example, in the same chapter (Galatians 6:2, 5), urges, "Bear one another's burdens," and three verses later suggests, "Each one shall bear his own load." Similarly, Paul warns Christians not to be "burdened again by a yoke of bondage" (Galatians 5:1), while teaching elsewhere that we are to become "slaves to righteousness" (Romans 6:18). Jesus Christ provides the most sterling example of paradox when he warns His disciples that whoever desires to lead must become a servant (Luke 22:26) and whoever would save his life must be willing to lose it (Luke 17:33).

A special instance of paradox is the conundrum or riddle. Stephen Tecklenberg, in his article "No Matter What You Do," maintains that the "Answer not a fool . . . Answer a fool" juxtaposition is just that, a conundrum focusing more on the "readiness" to answer rather than on the answering. He adds, "If appropriate, give answers. If not, withhold."

Thomas Henry Reardon, in his article "Folly to Be Wise?" points out that while much of Scripture demands making right choices, certain decisions, especially in the Wisdom literature (Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, etc.), demand discernment, prudence, and choosing wisely between alternatives.

Every semester, I propose a dilemma to my Advanced Composition classes when I ask them to explain the conundrum: "You can write a research paper in 20 hours, but you cannot write a research paper in 20 hours." When I assure them that there is no contradiction, they finally realize that it all depends on the distribution of the 20 hours. Clustering these 20 hours one week before the paper's due-date will lead to panic or plagiarism. On the other hand, intelligent spacing of these 20 hours (over the period of a month), with scheduled periods of rest, will provide the necessary energy and resources to complete the research paper.

A Turn of Phrase

Closely related to paradox and conundrum is the turn of phrase given to a group of words. Norman Geisler, in his book When Critics Ask, cites Andrew Fuller, who insists that the meaning is altered depending on the twist given to the words. For example, "according to his folly" in one sense implies "in a foolish manner" or "behaving like a fool." In another sense, it could imply "in the manner which his folly requires."

Another way of explaining this turn of phrase would be the fallacy of accent, in which the meaning changes depending on which part of the sentence is emphasized. Much Yiddish humor succeeds by accenting different parts of the sentence. Jewish humorist Leo Rosten provides this gem:

1. I should buy two tickets for her concert?—meaning: What, you're giving me a lesson in ethics?

2. I should buy two tickets for her concert?—meaning: I wouldn't go even if she were giving out free passes!

3. I should buy two tickets for her concert?—meaning: I'm having enough trouble deciding whether it's worth one.

4. I should buy two tickets for her concert?—meaning: She should be giving out free passes, or the hall will be empty.

5. I should buy two tickets for her concert?—meaning: Did she buy tickets to our daughter's recital?

6. I should buy two tickets for her concert?—meaning: You mean, they call what she does a "concert"?

Applying this formula to Proverbs 26, we accent the following parts of verses 4 and 5:

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.

As in Fuller's turn of phrase, the first accent refers to behaving like a fool, and the second accent refers to the manner that his foolishness requires. David Jon Hill, in his article "Twelve Rules for Bible Study" (Tomorrow's World, July 1969), substantiates the turn of phrase and accent explanations, asserting that differing circumstances account for the so-called contradictions:

Actually, these two verses are not contradictory—but complementary!

The use of either verse—that is, its principle applied to a particular use—depends on the set of circumstances. Both these verses contain gems of wisdom that each one of us needs to learn to properly apply in answering other people's questions.

The last part of each verse holds the key which unlocks the meaning of these verses—and shows them to be practical, usable and wise principles.

Verse four reads, "Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him." The last part of the verse holds the key: don't degrade yourself by descending to his level in an argument! Don't harangue—don't bite back—don't try to "argue back" with someone who is obviously trying to stir contention.

Robert Deffingbaugh, in his Bible study, "The Fool," says of Proverbs 26:5:

We should not allow the fool to drag us down to his level. The fool is exasperating; he is looking for trouble, and he often tempts us to oblige him. Since the fool will spout off and speak his mind, we are tempted to lose our temper with him as well. Proverbs instructs us not to allow him to get the best of us, lest we be lowered to his level.

When Donald Trump mistakenly got into a name-calling contest with Rosie O'Donnell, it gave her a fallacious, elevated estimation of her debating abilities, deluding her into a false sense of importance and wisdom, and at the same time, it artificially boosted the ratings of The View. Fred Thompson, on the other hand, when asked to debate the merits of "universal" health care with Michael Moore, who lauds Fidel Castro's system in Cuba, made it clear that he would not lower himself to Moore's foolishness.

Not Answering the Fool

Stephen Tecklenberg, reflecting on his protesting of the blasphemous movie, The Last Temptation of Christ, observes, "In those areas where the protests were the loudest, the film received the best attendance. It was as if our best efforts simply backfired. Perhaps it would have been better if we had done nothing!"

Scripture provides numerous examples of biblical figures falling short of successfully following Proverbs 26:4. Consider the example of how Moses answered folly in a foolish manner:

And the people contended with Moses and spoke, saying: "If only we had died when our brethren died before the Lord! Why have you brought up the assembly of the Lord into this wilderness, that we and our animals should die here?" . . . Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, "Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals." . . . And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, "Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?" Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod. . . . (Numbers 20:3-4, 7-8, 10-11)

Jesus Christ used a better tactic. A group of gainsaying Pharisees tried to push his buttons, provoking an argument, but Jesus kept his cool, answering their question with one of His own. Using this strategy, he placed this pack of weasels on the horns of an untenable dilemma, successfully answering their foolishness according to their folly.

But He answered and said to them, "I also will ask you one thing, and answer Me: The baptism of John—was it from heaven or from men?" And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did you not believe him?' But if we say, 'From men,' all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet." So they answered that they did not know where it was from. And Jesus said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things." (Luke 20:3-8)

In another instance, Jesus was confronted by Herod Antipas, who had been manipulated by his wife to murder John the Baptist. Jesus realizing the man to be a compromised fool, held his peace (Luke 23:8-9).

Following His example, the apostle Paul twice cautions Timothy—and thus us—that there are times when a fool's comment does not warrant a reply:

II Timothy 2:23: But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.

I Timothy 6:3-5: If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

Answering the Fool

Occasionally, silence is not golden but just plain yellow. When Job's wife urged him to curse God and die, he did not turn a deaf ear but gave her a cease-and-desist order:

Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!" But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips. (Job 2:9-10)

The apostle Paul, despite his cautions to Timothy, realized at one point that if he did not challenge the foolish challenges of his enemies (concerning his apostolic authority and methods), na?ve members of the Corinthian congregation might believe them. His lengthy answer spans II Corinthians 11 and 12. Notice, however, II Corinthians 12:11-13:

I have become a fool in boasting; you have compelled me. For I ought to have been commended by you; for in nothing was I behind the most eminent apostles, though I am nothing. Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds. For what is it in which you were inferior to other churches, except that I myself was not burdensome to you? Forgive me this wrong!

Obviously, Paul felt extremely uncomfortable about answering these allegations, as is evidenced by his self-effacing reference to himself as a fool, but he also realized that his silence would have tacitly endorsed the charges. Likewise, our Savior, when confronted about His identity and credentials, knew the timing was right to put the gainsaying Pharisees in their place:

Then the Jews said to Him, "Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, 'If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.' Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?" Jesus answered, "If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, 'I do not know Him,' I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." Then the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." (John 8:52-58)

As one minister said, "If you are going to preach a warning message, you had better be mindful of your exit strategies, or be prepared to die on that hill of battle." There certainly are times when diplomacy fails and silence is no longer appropriate. Our society is replete with foolish teachings, ideas, theories, and misconceptions—both secular and religious—and under the right circumstances, they should be confronted and shown to be false, lest they be accepted as factual.

For instance, on a recent radio talk show an astute listener observed that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a guest, had concocted a bogus definition of fascism, referring to it as "corporate control of government," attributing this spurious definition to the American Heritage Dictionary, which says nothing of the sort. In another example, during a recent presidential debate, Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, after being questioned about his views on Creation versus evolution, gave a well thought-out, reasoned, and impassionate defense of the Creationist position, effectively deflating the surreptitious anti-God position.

As maturing Christians, we must learn to discern when it is proper to answer a fool according to his folly (in the manner his foolishness deserves), and when it is a bad idea to answer a fool according to his folly (lowering ourselves to his undignified level). The right exercise of God's Spirit in us, which Paul calls "the mind of Christ" (I Corinthians 2:16), provides the potential to have and use this ability.

Not Flinching

The founder of Lutheranism,  credited with saying,
~
“If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God

except

precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking,

I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ.

Where the battle rages there the loyalty of the soldier is proved. And to be steady on all the battlefields besides is merely flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.”

----------------------------------------------

Dietrich Bonhoeffer versus the rise of Nazi Germany
January 1933 - Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany and later took control as dictator; he ordered the arrest and execution of several of the people who helped him gain power and further intensified persecution of Jews

April 1933 - Bonhoeffer's essay "The Church and the Jewish Question," was the first to address the new problems the church faced under the Nazi dictatorship; his defense of the Jews was marked by Christian supersessionism - the Christian belief that Christianity had superseded Judaism, in history and in the eyes of God; the real question, he argued, was how the church would judge and respond to the Nazi state's actions against the Jews; essay completed in the days following the April 1, 1933, boycott of Jewish businesses; some scholars believe Bonhoeffer was influenced on this issue by his close friendship at Union Seminary with his African American colleague, Frank Fisher, and his direct observation of Fisher's experiences under racism

Summer1933 - Many Protestants welcomed the rise of Nazism; a group called the Deutsche Christen ("German Christians") became the voice of Nazi ideology within the Evangelical Church, even advocating the removal of the Old Testament from the Bible; the Deutsche Christians cited the state Aryan laws that barred all "non-Aryans" from the civil service, they also proposed a church "Aryan paragraph" to prevent "non-Aryans" from becoming ministers or religious teachers; the Deutsche Christen claimed that Jews, as a "separate race," could not become members of an "Aryan" German church even through baptism a clear repudiation of the validity of Gospel teachings

1933 (summer) - Bonhoeffer published final lecture courses at Berlin as Christ the Center - along with a seminar taught on the philosopher G. W. F. Hegel

September 1933 - Help to organize the Pastors' Emergency League; after which he assumed the pastorate of the German Evangelical Church, Sydenham, and the Reformed Church of St. Paul in London; during sojourn in England, he became a close friend and confidant of the influential Anglican Bishop, George Bell

Fall 1933 - The Deutsche Christen gained control of many Protestant church governments throughout Germany; their policy of excluding those with "Jewish blood" from the ministry was approved, September 1933, by the national church synod at Wittenberg.

May 1934 - The anti-Nazi Confessing Church was organized Barmen, Germany; Bonhoeffer bitterly opposed the Aryan paragraph, arguing that its ratification surrendered Christian precepts to political ideology; if "non-Aryans" were banned from the ministry, he argued, then their colleagues should resign in solidarity, even if this meant the establishment of a new church a "confessing" church that would remain free of Nazi influence.

1934 - Became a member of the Universal Christian Council for Life and Work

Apr. 26, 1935 - Establishes underground seminary for the anti-Nazi Confessing Church at Zingst by the Baltic Sea, which in June moves to Finkenwalde in Pomerania

Aug. 5, 1936 - Forbidden to lecture at the University of Berlin

1937 - Finkenwalde Seminary closed by Gestapo; 27 former Finkenwalde students imprisoned; out of the experiences at Finkenwalde emerged his two well-known books, The Cost of Discipleship and Life Together, as well as his lesser known writings on pastoral ministry such as Spiritual Care; continued to prepare pastors in the Confessing Church all the way to 1939

Feb. 1938 - Makes first contact with conspirators in connection with political resistance against Hitler

Jun. 2, 1939 - Leaves for New York City

Jul. 27, 1939 - Returns to Germany and joins the political resistance

Mar. 27, 1941 - Forbidden to print or publish

Sep. 1941 - Becomes part of Jewish rescue action (Operation 7)

Jan. 1943 - At age 36 engaged to Maria von Wedemeyer

Apr. 5, 1943 - At age 37 arrested and taken to Tegel Prison, Berlin; Dohnanyi and Dietrich's sister, Christine, also arrested

Feb. 7, 1945 - Moved to the Buchenwald Concentration Camp

Apr. 1945 - Discovery of Admiral Canaris' diary; Hitler orders annihilation of the Canaris group which includes Bonhoeffer

Apr. 9, 1945 - Bonhoeffer (age 39) hanged at Flossenburg; Dohnanyi killed at the Sachsenhausen Camp; one of four members of his immediate family to die at the hands of the Nazi regime for their participation in the small Protestant resistance movement - two sons (Dietrich and Klaus) and two sons-in-law (Hans von Dohnanyi and Rudiger Schleicher).
The letters he wrote during these final two years of his life were posthumously published by his student and friend, Eberhard Bethge, as Letters and Papers from Prison.

Gideon Surprises and Routs the Midianites
Judges Chapter7 Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the troops that were with him rose early and encamped beside the spring of Harod; and the camp of Midian was north of them, below[a] the hill of Moreh, in the valley.

2 The Lord said to Gideon, “The troops with you are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hand. Israel would only take the credit away from me, saying, ‘My own hand has delivered me.’ 3 Now therefore proclaim this in the hearing of the troops, ‘Whoever is fearful and trembling, let him return home.’” Thus Gideon sifted them out;[b] twenty-two thousand returned, and ten thousand remained.

4 Then the Lord said to Gideon, “The troops are still too many; take them down to the water and I will sift them out for you there. When I say, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go with you; and when I say, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.” 5 So he brought the troops down to the water; and the Lord said to Gideon,
“All those who lap the water with their tongues, as a dog laps, you shall put to one side; all those who kneel down to drink, putting their hands to their mouths,[c] you shall put to the other side.” 6 The number of those that lapped was three hundred; but all the rest of the troops knelt down to drink water. 7 Then the Lord said to Gideon, “With the three hundred that lapped I will deliver you, and give the Midianites into your hand. ***Let all the others go to their homes.” 8 So he took the jars of the troops from their hands,[d] and their trumpets; and he sent all the rest of Israel back to their own tents, but retained the three hundred. The camp of Midian was below him in the valley.

9 That same night the Lord said to him, “Get up, attack the camp; for I have given it into your hand. 10 But if you fear to attack, go down to the camp with your servant Purah; 11 and you shall hear what they say, and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to attack the camp.” Then he went down with his servant Purah to the outposts of the armed men that were in the camp. 12 The Midianites and the Amalekites and all the people of the east lay along the valley as thick as locusts; and their camels were without number, countless as the sand on the seashore. 13 When Gideon arrived, there was a man telling a dream to his comrade; and he said, “I had a dream, and in it a cake of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian, and came to the tent, and struck it so that it fell; it turned upside down, and the tent collapsed.” 14 And his comrade answered, “This is no other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, a man of Israel; into his hand God has given Midian and all the army.”

15 When Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, he worshiped; and he returned to the camp of Israel, and said, “Get up; for the Lord has given the army of Midian into your hand.” 16 After he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and put trumpets into the hands of all of them, and empty jars, with torches inside the jars, 17 he said to them, “Look at me, and do the same; when I come to the outskirts of the camp, do as I do. 18 When I blow the trumpet, I and all who are with me, then you also blow the trumpets around the whole camp, and shout, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon!’”

19 So Gideon and the hundred who were with him came to the outskirts of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, when they had just set the watch; and they blew the trumpets and smashed the jars that were in their hands. 20 So the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars, holding in their left hands the torches, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow; and they cried, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21 Every man stood in his place all around the camp, and all the men in camp ran; they cried out and fled. 22 When they blew the three hundred trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword against his fellow and against all the army; and the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah,[e] as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath. 23 And the men of Israel were called out from Naphtali and from Asher and from all Manasseh, and they pursued after the Midianites.

24 Then Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against the Midianites and seize the waters against them, as far as Beth-barah, and also the Jordan.” So all the men of Ephraim were called out, and they seized the waters as far as Beth-barah, and also the Jordan. 25 They captured the two captains of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb; they killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and Zeeb they killed at the wine press of Zeeb, as they pursued the Midianites. They brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon beyond the Jordan.

We're Baby Boomers

(describing most of  my Facebook friends)
We're baby boomers. We're either children of Rockn Roll or in my case the Beatles. About 10-20 years younger than the real movers and shakers themselves. That is I am too young , just, to be an ex hippy. i couldn't really "get" why Bob Dylan and John Lennon were so important. In a way I was a perfect product of them because I couldn't "get " it....in other words I was already normalised. It was my music.
I couldn't understand why Bob Dylan was so silent and monosyllabic in that iconic 1966 interview. Anyone remember the big one? he basically was refusing point blank to identify with the Pathe News patronising voice news media.....and really....although it took some time....in that interview he smashed it. He smashed the old order. Almost like the quiet resistance 20 years earlier that Ghandi adopted to smash the British Empire's hold of India.
We were convinced new ideas ruled.

We were also convinced in the atheist post -Auschwitz generation that there was no room for God and religion.
We couldn't know that ....for yes , in fact ,we were....we were part of the fairy story.
And here I refer to the fact that the Grimm's Fairy tales turn out to be the real world, and what we deemed the real world is an enormous construct.
Good and evil really exists and is in a life and death struggle, and the winner will take all.
New Agers deny evil as a spiritual person and relegate it to bad thoughts, bad intentions, selfishness, bad karma, selfish agenda.
Perhaps rightly they are irritated by the pentecostal "out there" view of evil. ' The devil made me do it.'

My intention here is not to make a big thing of this point, but simply so you know, express my belief in a paragraph.
In the Good corner
is the Goodness of God being expressed daily through all creation, and to a greater or lesser extent through every human...
but in purity as the Triune God , individually by union with our spirit, and corporately in the Living Body of Christ actively in union with Him.
In the bad corner is "the world, the flesh and the devil."
So the devil as fallen angel through principalities and powers, pulls on our flesh as individuals, and corporately as the "world system" or matrix.
In Greek there are two words for world...this one is kosmos.
But in psalm 24...the earth is the Lord's ....representing the whole thing...even allowing for the effects of demonic squatters pulling their weight in and by humans!!!

So us baby boomers strode out convinced we were different.
Values of love.(Hippies etc)
Ecology.
Responsible business.
Fairer pay.
Wanting a meritocracy....if someone had the ability they should rise and take their place.
Free expression.
Freedom of thought and belief.

So what have we now?
The Jim Hensons...if not dead...are coralled in to Hollywood and big money.
David Gilmour who wrote Money...Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon...yup he actually did give away his London house to a homeless charity and went to live on a houseboat. Now he lives in a big estate next to some friends of ours.
Google "Do no evil" is now part of the megabillions world of control.
Bill and Melissa Gates retire and wish to distribute billions of profit via vaccines, but reports are coming in about the extra additions to the vaccines.
Council On Foreign relations seems to be more about splitting the world into opposing tensions
The religion behind the United Nations is Lucis Trust, which used to be called Lucifer trust before people got scared.
Israel.
Right here on Facebook are Support Israel groups.
But St Paul was clear about an Israel without Jesus. He called them children of Hagar. Bond slaves. NOT BORN FROM THE JERUSALEM ABOVE.
The German group supporting Israel that I have been asked to join obviously looks really great. After all wasn't it Germany who housed the concentration camps of extermination? Someone in the group just pasted that Mystery Babylon is Mecca.

Do you know? I doubt that. I think Mystery Babylon could well turn out to be Jerusalem. She is at present a locked door with Arabs holding key parts. But scriptures in the Bible are flooded with phrases which indicate Antichrist wants to mimicJesus Christ, who was allowed a full earthly ministry of 3 and a half years. it would seem he has demanded equal rights and wished to take over the Temple at Jerusalem.
So that's what I mean. Us babyboomers wanted to create the world after our own ideas of a secular bubble....not knowing that we have perfectly been used to walk the enemy into the most perfect fulfilment of scriptures this world has ever known. And that without trying...because we have, like the Russian Communists and Chinese Communists, and Hitler's Germany, denied the rule of God Almighty....so as there is no middle realm....we by default become the glove puppets of the devil.

Sandy Halverson shares a verse on Unity

Sandy Halverson

Let them all be one. Just as you, Father are in union with Me and I am with you, let them be in union with us..

Chris Welch In the 1970s the Holy Spirit was saying Unity Big Time. We sang songs as Jesus People. Jimmy and Carol Owens toured with Come Together.
Newbies like us who had come straight out of the denominations were deeply deeply moved by the love of God shed abroad in the gatherings. On a corporate level it was similar to a couple falling in love. We were SURE it would work. We bet our lives on it. After seeing Graham Pulkingham and the Fisherfolk living together as community plus all the new revelation on the Body of Christ....we left universities....our towns ...even our countries. Some joined YWAM. I joined an Argentinian based network here in the UK. We even lived through the Argentine - UK war together.
It all looked so round the corner !!!
But nobody....bar an aging leader here or there knew that there was three levels of growth in Christianity. We were all convinced there were about one or two.....so when it didn't work....or appear to work....the landscape is now littered with burned out charismatics from that era.
Some really abused ones who suffered enormously in the Mark 1 versions of "Headship and submission".
Well in our church, a number of us became piano tuners.
What's so good about that?
I'll tell you what's so good about it.
There are physical laws. There are tricks of the trade, whereby every single day of our lives we face totally wonky pianos....totally honky tonk....and we regard it as totally matter of fact that we can tune them....the very worst ones in only 2hours or even 1 and a half hours.
We are NOT burned out at the end of the day. Tired maybe. But not burned out. We don't grow cynical saying that pianos can never be tuned. We don't leave pianos in a condition so that people can only play in Csharp minor so they can only play Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and not some Concerto in D major. When we leave them they play in every key. They also play anything from Frere Jacques to Elton John.
Tuners don't get proud thinking how wonderful they are for being able to do this....anymore than Wendy Adams Evans husband thinks how brilliant he is that he can drive a train to London and back.
It is absolutely normal.
And so it is too in the Body of Christ....
IN THE THIRD LEVEL.
While we are still hardwired to leftbrain living...to living according to the flesh...having not yet trained our senses according to righteousness....it's bloomin well impossible....
But the third level Word spoken in John 6 and then again from John 13-17 produces Acts 2 results....

A Psalm to the Great Power of the Lord God

Spirits seek to wear down but they speak lies.
They speak of God as an old wizened man cowering at the back end of the Universe afraid to take responsibility for the "things He has done".
This is ofcourse Anthromorphic drivel. God is not a Man.
He is near us even in our mouths.
He sustains every particle in the universe by His Word of Power and let us know that before we scarcely knew about particles.
God is not only not cowering....He MEANS everything very purposefully and governing all things BY LOVE...works within everything and works upon everything, whether PURELY by Direct action...or using the one who has taken God's own life and twisted it in on himself for his own desires....the devil.
Yet God is so far above and beyond even His creation that He sees everything from the beginning to the End, working all things for His purpose.
We are to see with a single eye and give the devil no power. By seeing God in all things whether directly or in a derived form, we rob the liar to our souls and give back the due honour to the One God who is glorious.
God is so far above the devil, that while he seeks to accomplish his manipulated lying reign on earth and complete what was unfinished at Babel, in the form of a highly complex pyramid monolith One World order that has required endless planning, the robbery of our monies, and endless denials and lies....
God instead takes a ragamuffin people who were no people
weak, not strong,
and through spontaneous living alone
Speaks His Word through them
to form the eternal Apple of His eye
A Body expression of His own Darling Son
a Bride who will unashamedly love Him and without fear become One flesh with Him.
This Bride he has bestowed the great honour of bringing to nought everything that is,
until all that remains on the Earth is Love and Light and Joy and Righteousness.
This would be a pipedream but for the enormous downpayment...and earnest of our inheritance that we have already received singly, and again and again corporately, namely the baptism and rebaptism into the Holy Spirit of His dear Son.
All that is happening is that which was a temporary Tent stretched across the Earth is being solidified as of a Temple in stone
Or in Rock.
Upon this Rock of the growing revelation of My Son
The Son of Man
Come from God
The ONLY BEGOTTEN SON....(the first Adam was scooped up from clay)
the Gates of all hell shall not prevail against MY CONGREGATION, said Jesus to Peter the Rock, and the other disciples.
This ROCK abides in you if you Abide in Him.
If you Abide in My Word then you shall truly be my disciples
AND you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free
and the earth that surrounds you
For all creation stands on tiptoe just to see
The sons of God COME IN TO THEIR OWN (inheritance).
Behold, Perceive, see ahead of time....THE POWER OF GOD.
Every mouth will be stopped. Every mouth will be without excuse.
For the time draws near
And is even at hand
in your very mouths.
Says the Lord.

Are Jews Really Worse?

Everyone makes a big thing about Jews missing Jesus. But the fact is all of us miss God stuff all the time. The very friends you may have now might have begun as your enemies. You may have hated the sight of them. How about the God stuff that was meant to have enriched your life but because your spouse said it you completely ignored it....cos you know better ofcourse. or the God truths spoken by your kids...but you didn't listen. How could they know anything? or the God opportunities staring you in the face but because you'd have to move...or change jobs, or learn something new, or go to a different region, or get to know new friends...you just said no. How about the Anglican church as a whole saying no for a 100 years now to the greatest single factor that has changed Christianity in the whole world....the experience of Baptism in the Spirit or before that the experience of being born again. As a whole the Anglican church is really catholic and is part of the Order of St John Jesuits, but it is kept hush hush by the Queen who is the UK head of the order. Jesus Christ turns up in the UK again and again with revival after revival teaching all the heavenly tabernacle truths to generation after generation and what do the Brits do? Kick em out to America!
Jesus Christ turns up in our day teaching the third level truths of the tricks of the trade to do with the Holiest Place and how to live there continually....what do all the UK denominations do? Carry on in exactly the same way running their conferences in the same way they have for decades. So no....there is nothing out of the ordinary about the blindness of Jews!!!

Some of heaven's paradoxes

A lot of paradoxical stuff goes on in the heavenly realms that just doesn't work on earth....not naturally. Here's one: the hard-working and the laid back seemingly lazy are one thing! Here's another: the Melchizedek order doesn't recognise age. I had a tuning client in Waterlooville whose baby's first words were totally Melchizedek...."Dad do you know God?"
Anybody remember the Little Red Hen story?Read below this post.
That's a side of God that is simultaneously true with the very opposite....they are both in the Bible. How does that work? I have absolutely no idea. The red hen emphasises that the one who does the work and reaps the reward is in a place of honour all their own. To the one who has shall more be given. The thrust of the parables in Matthew 25. Yet right at the same time in the One Bible you have Ruth....the one with the baby...giving it back to Naomi the mother in law. You also have David instructing his army to give the some of the spoil to those who were too scared to go out and join them. You also have passages quoted in Acts 2 ...the very start of the church...so it's important....about God being found by a people who are Not A People. The Jews have spent all this time carrying the Name of God...they totally miss Jesus....and the whole thing is flung out to a people who weren't even looking. And God is doing just the same with the Church at the moment. That is,they are not in the least bit interested in the third level so He is going straight to the hedgerows and gutters and compelling those who hadn't the least interest into the Kingdom. "The kingdom is taken from you and given to a"nation"...( built entirely of those who were no people) who are bearing the fruit thereof.
Here's another question from Jesus. Which person pleases the Father?
The one who says......yes yes......and doesn't do what he promised.
Or the one who says no no no......but actually goes away and does it?
The third level is actually all about doing...but it is a doing that comes out of being.
Religion is all about doing..but it's a doing that isn't coming out of relationship. So ultimately it's dead. It's like a mule that is sterile. There can be no on going fruit because the thing itself is dead. The doing in religion is more like a mask.....Or figleaves....hiding the fact that there is nothing there. If Cain had had a relationship with God like Abel then he'd have known that trying to "appease God" with a sacrifice of some of his harvest wasn't going to cut it. Abel had been sensitive to Gods heart and heard Him say.....now busy yourself with a lamb. Now sacrifice this very lamb that you have cared for. He will die in your stead.
Abel was moving from revelation. Inner revelation.
So what must we do?
Jesus says believe on Me. Believe that I am the One sent from God. Believe that this normal looking man was born supernatural of God..and the same supernatural replacement is going on in your body. You have died....and it is now not you who live but Christ who lives within you. Yes.....to your left brain it sounds nuts...but we don't live in the lie of the outward things..Which, by the way were never accurate anyway. We live in and by the Spirit.
Yeah....but what must we DO?
I have absolutely no idea. Nor do you. That's the point as I was thinking today and this is why religion can never work. You see how can I or you know what the Living God will choose to do through your and my body? We can have rough ideas but the truth is neither you nor I know for sure....but we have to believe ON THIS HEART.. that as Proverbs says from it flow the issues of Life. You say.....well dunno about you but from my heart issues loads of bad temper!!! Well in this case we're not talking about surface drives and emotions which can vary like the wind. NOPE....this use of heart is our inner centre. When people talk of centering down. This is about Raw You...authentic you as designed by our heavenly Father....circumcised you....that is....your heart having been circumcised of flesh and worry and fear and lust pulls....
Functions now as the real you. Christ you. Christ the source of all genuine Life.

Once upon a time, a lamb, a cat, a pig, and a little red hen lived on an old farm on a flowery hill surrounded by fields of golden wheat. One day, the Little Red Hen found some grains of wheat scattered in the barnyard. "Look what I've found!" she said to the other animals. "Who will help me plant these grains of wheat?"

"Not I!" said the lamb.

"Not I!" said the cat.

"Not I!" said the pig.

"Then I'll do it myself," said the Little Red Hen. And so she did. She knew that seeds need water to grow tall and strong. "Who will help me water these seeds?" asked the Little Red Hen.

"Not I!" said the lamb.

"Not I!" said the cat.

"Not I!" said the pig.

"Then I'll do it myself," said the Little Red Hen. And so she did. The Little Red Hen watered the soil and waited patiently for the wheat to grow. When the wheat was tall and golden, she knew it was ready to be cut. "Who will help me harvest the wheat?" asked the Little Red Hen.

"Not I!" said the lamb.

"Not I!" said the cat.

"Not I!" said the pig.

"Then I'll do it myself," said the Little Red Hen. And so she did. The Little Red Hen's basket was soon filled with wheat. "Who will help me take the wheat to the mill to be ground into flour?" asked the Little Red Hen.

"Not I!" said the lamb

"Not I!" said the cat.

"Not I!" said the pig.

"Then I'll do it myself," said the Little Red Hen. And so she did. The kind miller ground the wheat into powdery, velvety flour, and the Little Red Hen carried it home in a rough brown sack. "Who will help me make this flour into bread?" asked the Little Red Hen.

"Not I!" said the lamb.

"Not I!" said the cat.

"Not I!" said the pig.

"Then I'll do it myself," said the Little Red Hen. And so she did. The Little Red Hen mixed the flour into sticky dough and kneaded it into a smooth loaf. "Who will help me put this bread into the oven to bake?" asked the Little Red Hen.

"Not I!" said the lamb.

"Not I!" said the cat.

"Not I!" said the pig.

"Then I'll do it myself," said the Little Red Hen. And so she did. The kitchen filled with the delicious scent of baking bread, and the other animals came to see what was happening. The Little Red Hen took the warm, crusty loaf out of the oven, and set it on the table. "Who will help me eat this fresh, tasty bread?" asked the Little Red Hen.

"I will!" said the lamb.

"I will!" said the cat.

"I will!" said the pig.

"No, you will not," said the Little Red Hen. "You didn't help me plant it, or water it, or harvest it, or mill it, or bake it. I shall eat it myself!" And so she did.

"Oh me!" said the lamb.

"Oh my!" said the cat.

"Oh me, oh my!" said the pig.

The next time the Little Red Hen found some grains of wheat, the lamb planted it in the rich, brown soil, the cat watered it carefully every day, and the pig harvested the wheat when it had grown tall and strong. When the dough was baked, together the animals made hot chocolate and ate the fresh, warm bread. It was delicious! The animals lived happily ever after, cooperating and helping every day.

Head and Shoulders

THIS POST began as a couple of Facebook posts having heard a message by Danny Silk (who works closely with Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton of Bethel at Redding California). Don't let me put you off the message on the apostolic gift....he says some tremendous things here.you can order the complete set of this year's messages here
It was in the 1970s Bible Weeks with Ern Baxter that he told us about the HEAD AND SHOULDERS GOVERNMENT leadership of King Saul who became increasingly mad. Ern ofcourse referenced the largely unbaptised in the Spirit leadership that was mostly the mark of all churches in those days.

But ofcourse the terrifying thing about the Saul and David story is that BOTH were anointed by the Spirit.
Like the disciples before the Cross and the first generation of apostles today, these leaders have not really properly passed through all stages of 1 John 2 Growth. People speak with greater or lesser experiential insight into the Father stage....but the key description is : they KNOW Him who is from the BEGINNING. There's a deep knowing....a fusion....a UNION  relationship actually deep in the heart of this level of believer.
Psalm 84.5 How blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
In whose heart are the highways to Zion!

Have just heard message of Bethel in Harrogate. Mark Stibbe got zapped up there and had a sniffable heavenly fragrance on him for a good while.
Much I could write and much I have already written about apostles. Danny Silk was sharing and his heart is on the right direction of the message of the gospel being our adoption as sons by the Father of whom we have had such a fractured image. The anointing of the Spirit is evident on Bethel...and also the younger mystic move through JOHN Crowder (not in these meetings). So there is a moving of these men towards third level realities.....but like an exsmoker I hate the cloying infrastructures that they don't realise that cling like B O to the charismatic phraseology........ a bit like Harry Enfields Smashy and Nicey DJ speak in the otherworld of DJs. Until yyou've properly drunk independent self delusion to the dregs it's still in everything you say and are....so even talking about apostles still has a yukky head and shoulders Saul Governmental sound.

Cal Thompson Wow. I'm surprised how closely I share your opinions. Very interesting. I must say I Love and honor both bethel and Crowder. Have been off there sauce for awhile so I am not certain of where their transformation is now. I can't imagine people with as great foundational values as they would not also be moving even more quickly toward s perfection. Whatever that is. Kudos

Chris Welch Well whatever that is is Jesus Christ doing His stuff. Perfection that is. We are in a fascinating time....because up until our time everybody has been trying ever so hard in religion. We are the first corporate bunch ever (cos there have always been individuals who have grabbed it) but we are the first set of people to look anything remotely like the prophecy in Psalm 24 and psalm 110. That is learning the trick of the trade that it is not me as a selfempowered soul who live after all!!! it's Christ in me fused and in union to my spirit which makes its intentions known through the spontaneous "fountains or issues of life" of our hearts.
So we've had to do at least a couple of things there in our metanoia.
Switch out of a leftbrain locked existence...or controlling and confining what we do to what we understand....that was one leap of Spirit.
Proverbs 3.5-6 don't rely onyour insight but acknowledge Him in all our ways....watch what He is doing...Psalm 123....watch how He lives our life.
Secondly through going into our inner room and meeting with the Father in secret....and listening to His whispers before getting out the megaphones from the rooftops...we've had to learn that the REAL US, the authentic us....below all the bluster and the fakery....is our spirit man fused in God....and all this time our soul was only the butler after all who was masquerading as Lord of the house, like he owned the place!!!!

Danny Silk made this great point about ecostructures. This concept must be doing the rounds and is heartening. He used the example of the disciples being formed into apostles in only 3 years. In the circles I move which is third level realities people prefer things to be real than put time dates on things. So someone like Fred Pruitt who learnt so much off Norman Grubb the WEC co-founder goes around sharing one to one....but the thought of three years isn't even a concept with him and they generally don't expect total reality until people are 60 70 or 80. Which is slightly disturbing to me who grabbed this stuff when I was 30 but direct and in the context of seeking God corporately in Emsworth under another missionary titan...Ed Miller and his proteges. So Danny used ecostructure to mean spiritual environment which was a great point. He had observed how in three years or so disciples can train at Bethel....be totally hot for the Lord then go out back to other environments and really affect them....for a while. BUT.... the power and frigidity of the infrastructures would eventually overpower those who were hot until they had cooled right down.
Any evangelist like Elaine Waterfield will notice this procedure and to keep hot they have to remain parachurch ever reaching out as Jesus says we must. In Bethel's case where qsupernatural healing is in the bedroom furniture....disciples will have to choose also as they move out.....do I remember the anointing that is now a part of me or do I just return to the infrastructures of the fridge environment of the rest of the church? Jesus had to put people out of the room to be able to pray for deeper needs.
But here is the cracker that Danny Silk was saying: our whole culture acts like a fridge ecostructure in THIS MANNER. Fatherlessness. So as fast as we get new converts even faster the very infrastructures in the world are creating a ton more injury and fractured souls.
In 1975 in the Kansas City Shepherds conference the tie up between spiritual advance and ecostructure was never made as overtly but part of the reason for the huge impact of the conference in those early days was it's unique character. Ann Arbour Michigan leaders were as represented as the Fort Lauderdale brothers. Now the Catholic brothers were already onto this stuff and contrary to popular opinion the first Fatherhood type revelation book did not come out of Toronto....Or in 1989 out of YWAM....but it came out of Ann Arbour Community, kind of a Catholic Reddingtype mother church hub in the 70s. What particularly appealed to Martin Franke who is a Spirit filled German Catholic and I was that this conference had a peculiar breadth that also was the Gateway for Ern Baxters door opening and epochmaking Word "thy Kingdom Come". Check it out on my blog left-hand column.
But here is the missing bit in what Danny Silk was not saying. His charismatic worldview like mine in the eighties has the church bit and it has the heavenly reality bit, but it doesn't have a trace of FritzSpringmeyer's discoveries. In other words just identifying like Mark Stibbe that there is a Fatherlessess in our culture is like the daily line up that Israel made routinely with Goliath. But it took David to fully identify what was really going on in the Spirit and engage with Goliath regarding the situation as ludicrous.
The church as a whole do not engage with the how of fatherlessness. They ignore Barry Smith, Fritz Springmeyer, Grant Jeffrey.
It was my German friends in strange German whispers started to relate about the European Castle where babies are daily sacrificed. Only 35 years later have I found on the internet that it is in Belgium. It was or still is owned by the owner of Prozac. It is in some way connected to royalty....has 365 Windows one for every day. And there they also keep 1000 candles burning for the great overarching plan of the 1000 points of Light. To us....darkness. All of Life has been divided into 1000 sections and notch by notch plans are implemented over decades since 1776 so gradually we cannot see it all accelerating to a point of welcoming in the Antichrist in Europe and Jerusalem.
The point isn't even the Castle which was,so in some way connected to the Dutroux case and international childtrafficking and paedophilia. The point is there is a real human level of Darkness that the charismatic church is totally ignoring. Mainly because it is the very Pharoah where people themselves live....and just as Romans 6 and 7 means facing the world the flesh and the devil on your own insides.....you are then able to see...more willing to see how psalm 4 works on the outside. Not conspiracy theory. Conspiracy fact. How the fridge ecostructure actually works. About this Danny is totally silent. It isn't even in his frame of reference. He is like the Israelites.....facing Goliath as theory....ludicrously daily....having sandwiches he has made for him....but absolutely no engagement at any real level.

No More Sloping Shoulder

It's a glorious thing Christian babyhood. You get on with seeking God and getting a totally new consciousness all the while assuming that as things get worse Jesus will come back and put everything right.....cos the Kingdom is coming right? Can't see it now....but you just watch it'll come rolling over the hill in the by and by like an angelic horse and cart with Big Jesus shouting Ha! Ha! With his horse switch in hand. I'll come back to that.....

Well God nothing. The Jews also experienced this when they came into their own land. In the old Testament they took their eyes off God. Next thing they are in Babylon. BUT is this the MATURE form of Christianity? What? You saying that while on planet earth you always need non Christians to steal your wealth....steal your land....run the media....run the political systems.....just cos you plan to stay being double minded .....to never graduate to the single eye.....of mature Christianity? You saying that being a 'see-througher' .....a person of wealth and standing like Abraham was like Isaac was, like Jacob was.....is no longer possible....that that immediately presumes you will rely on the arm of flesh instead of the greater supernatural supply of God? Ah Chris.....it says it is harder for the rich to gain the Kingdom than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle....
Ok....but does that apply to Christ's life lived in us? Secondly how rich? Every white person is rich to a poor man in Burkina Faso? So no English are going to heaven? Not according to your logic? Oh....some are? Ok how rich is the cut off? All mortgage holders? All house owners? All those owning a business over £100,000? A million? A billion? A trillion? Oh so everyone except Rothschild and Richard Branson then? Well I am glad we got that sorted then? You know we really ought to put this in the New Bibles so new Christians understand how many pounds they can earn before the Pope says.....no more....we'll send in the Jesuit Inquisition now!!
Why is this important? Because of ourstupid thinking we now have a Sound of Music film totally stripped of God content. We sloped shoulders onto the Illuminati film industry and said.....hey.....you put the film out....we are so weak and pathetic....and hey....we don't want to be rich or else we will blow everything on drink porn and drugs.....so you twist the storyline for us and take out the bit whereMaria gives herself wholeheartedly to the Lord of glory.....Oh and the bits where the children sing Monteverdi and Palestrina in awesome worship.....we are only Christians selling our birthright to totally unworthy forces so that we can be ready for the Jesus Cart coming over the hills to snatch us all away while He burns all the sinners in unbelievable atomic bomb torment.
What we are doing by staying in baby Christianity is shameful. It is bringing down the wonderful Name of our God in the earth. WE MUST GROW UP IN HIM to be as He was.....having SINGLE VISION.

Maria von Trapp said for ages she wouldn't sign a contract on a book which became Sound of Music. Eventually when she sold the film rights she sold them for a one-off price. Well the rest is history. And apart from the initial relatively small sum the family made nothing out of the millions and the continuing millions made on the film. Her comment was a Christian one. "Well God saw to it that we made no money.....because we have seen Hollywood lifestyles.....and God kept us from all this."

Arcs

Do you believe in arcs?
I'll say what I mean.
Of course you believe in two arcs because everyone cannot get away from them.
24 Hours is an arc. The earth rotates.
The year is an arc....One rotation round the sun from whence we derive seasons and harvest.
But our lives are an arc.....an arc of believing and consciousness. No matter how atheist a person is.....roughly by age 50 or 60 a lot feel much more at home in their skins.....much more understanding of their identities....of who they are and how life works for them. This is the life arc of internalizing outer precepts into inner consciousness and the "how to" of life.
Well there is a bigger arc. The arc of world consciousness......which it is prophesied.....must FULLY test out its freedom to discover first through abandoning complete atheism.....for fuller consciousness and New Age with Satan disguised as a friendly figure of Light at its centre.....before finally crashing Proverbs 1 style into desperation then Rest....finding its source in the One True Unalloyed Centre of Life.....which is the Word through whom everything was made. Could we see it all....we'd find atoms and subatomic and Melchizedek particles in the self same arc.

Winter gives birth to spring. As Genesis 1 describes God's arc of a day begins Night first......and there was evening and there was morning....One day. Our lives begin in the dark. In a womb. It's just the way of things. Dark is good for generating....nay accelerating inner growth and inner sight. And consciousness is inner stuff. You can't speak things into being with outer stuff.....you have to have the inner stuff then speak it.

3 Strands

The world has three main strands.....but remember when something is in component parts it's just not integrated yet. God stores everything somewhere while people figure out that He really is our Joy Source. So anyway....
One part say there is no meditation....no right brain...and laugh at people who do.
The second part have discovered the whole of their brain but are as equally adamant they aren't gonna let any God tell them anything. The third and present few believe and act on psalm 119....I will meditate day and night on your Word O God. All three strands should be one thing and the Word says they will.....but until then things are a bit clunky in the earth. People who try to access Word in their leftbrains only are some of the world's least appealing people. We access the power, the relationship of Word....in Spirit. From Sacred Cows to the Prison Gate. In conversation.

Rich Novek

I have been spending the last few weeks exposing the much loved sacred cows of the modern day church. The sacred cows being the "self-preserving" other gods the people of God are relying on today...IN addition to Christ IN them as their only Life.

And so today, while exposing one of the most well known and sought after false teachers of our day, I discovered firsthand what I believe may be the most sacred of all the sacred cows out there today, that being the "so called" Christian leaders who, for whatever reason refuse to lose their own life so they can gain the "losing to gain" message of the Cross as their only Life. And though they may not know it, until they become willing participants IN the fellowship of His sufferings, they will NEVER know what it is to experience the life transforming POWER of His resurrection!

What is more, I consider EVERYTHING A LOSS because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I HAVE LOST ALL THINGS. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3:8

Joan Reilly I believe it's time church pastors, teachers and leaders of every description have a responsibility to get on their faces before God and ask what is wrong that up until now the church has had no effect on the political, economic, and spiritual deprivation of the world. Churches are starving for leadership who themselves know what it means to be dead, buried and resurrected with Christ so that the Life of Christ may be manifested in them. Faith (His Faith) comes by hearing and hearing comes by the Word (made flesh) of God. Leaders hear what the Spirit of Christ is saying. Grow up in Christ so that you can lead your sheep to that same Life. You cannot give what you have not received.
Something to Persecute?  by Rich Novek

As a young man who cut his spiritual teeth on men like A.W. Tozer, Watchman Nee, Andrew Murray, and David Wilkerson, I used to look around the churches I attended and wonder... "why isn't the church being persecuted?"

It was only many years later, after having waded through (and come out the other side) the performance based lie that most believe to be the Gospel today, that I realized there is no persecution because there is really NOTHING IN the church to persecute.

Go back to the time when Jesus read the scroll of Isaiah IN the temple after returning from His 40 day trip into the wilderness, and everyone was in awe of Him... "good teacher and wonderful Rabbi", that is until they heard the one thing they didn't want to hear. Then it went from "good teacher and wonderful Rabbi" to all of them wanting to throw Him over a cliff!

And so today the Christian church goes on, and as long as you don't come against the leadership and the DIFFERENT gospel they promote then all is well within the confines of the local temple, just as they were on the day Jesus read Isaiah. That is, until you begin to expose the false shepherds for the wolves that they really are. That is until you begin to see God IN a whole different "narrow path" light than how the status quo leadership sees Him. And especially until you begin to see and expose the illusion of the separate, impersonal, and punishing God up there by proclaiming the One True God who lives IN you and as you and loves you as you are today with no performance based strings attached. And it's this God of ALL Grace who you know will settle for nothing less than your whole heart, who you NOW see living His own Life IN and through you, IN the exact same way Jesus saw His Father living through Him!

Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but YOU DO NOT BELIEVE. The works I do IN my Father’s name testify about me, but YOU DO NOT BELIEVE because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I KNOW THEM, AND THEY FOLLOW ME. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.” Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” John 10:25-33

So as it stands today, unless today's "so called" spiritual leaders forsake every TWO MASTER lie they are serving today, they can expect their dead letter assemblies to continue on as they have for generations, as no REAL threat to anyone or anything, especially the powers of darkness that have them deceived into believing as they do today.

Today RELEASE what you keep calling your own, no matter what it is, and then REST IN His unconditional Love. Then simply wait to RECEIVE the revelation of the "losing to gain" message of the Cross as your only Life, IN the same way that so many who have gone before us were willing to pay the ultimate price to KNOW Him even as they are known by Him.

Only then, when God rolls death IN on EVERYTHING you still see as your own life apart from the Christ you claim to love with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, will you witness firsthand...that REAL persecution is still very much alive and well within today's body of Christ! And it's still coming from the same place it always has, the ones who are still see a life other than Christ alone as their only Life!

Chris adds.....yes I couldn't get my head round it. We were one of the first of the UK mainline churches to become Spiritfilled from 1967.....yet...although in relative terms there was persecution......turning Amersham upside down we were not. Secondly I was immediately aware that something was different in the "so called Spiritfilled gospel" to the one in the Bible. I'd worked that out at 13.....I just couldn't articulate what the missing layer was until I was 31 and by then I had read Norman Grubbs Yes I Am. Well I am now the calendar says 56....and so we're not talking SWIFT revelation here....but I am convinced that ONLY the Biblical gospel produces the ructions that the apostles caused. We are familiar with certain well known Christian ministries....and they really have been used by God to advance things.....but so far Bill Johnson Che Ahn David Yongghi Cho, Andrew Farley,Joseph Prince are absolutely unknown in the world's jails. They don't threaten anything anywhere anytime. They are free to preach their messages of Grace or semi Grace and pressure....wherever and whenever they want. Not one of them knows or teaches the three level gospel of 1 John 2. They can go to their graves teaching toddlers and young apprentices in the Lord some of the Hebrews6 foundations.....but ultimately the devil could hardly care less. In fact he quite likes the revenue Christians pour into his domain weekly since he rules and reigns over satellite media. But no Joyce Meyers is going to ruffle a feather....because not one of them is doing the work of early apostles and giving birth to the Christ Manchild in revelation 12. Christ crucified and being transferred and imparted to Father level just isn't happening!!! This is the realm covered by Norman's book Yes I am.....and is precisely what my Spirit filled pastor in 1972 WAS NOT SAYING.

some more on the last few GATES
Jesus said if we go into our inner room to meet with the Father the things spoken in secret shall (further down) be shouted from the rooftops. Well in our current time of restoring the ruins of desolation the actual message is become the thing spoken in secret and now to be broadcast from the rooftops. It's like the days of Nehemiah when the work to be done was actually the work to be done. See once the city is built the work to be done is something different....but at the moment we are still doing an archaeological dig on the New Covenant message itself.....so few 'get it'. The thing Nehemiah did was to rebuild all the gates and midsection walls in between and this is what our generation has been doing as was prophesied thousands of years ago in psalm 24 and 110 and other prophets. Restorer of the breach. What breach? The wacking great gap in the gospel which before our generation had been reduced to Anglicans asking forgiveness then going out and shaking Oxfam and Christian Aid tins. But as you know I believe we have come to Gate number 10 Miphkad. It's like a trumpet call going out worldwide. It's a mature version of what Jimmy and Carol Owens were doing a generation back with Come Together. Except the Jesus Movement was a 2 layer gospel....it was 1 John 2....children and young men....but nobody knew there was a third level in addition. They had forgotten some of the Gates. Or regarded them as mere religion. So in our day there was no Old Gate. No Dung Gate. No Valley Gate. David Wilkerson was doing his best to bring them in....but he was scarce heard. Now like in Nehemiah 8 there is a gathering in the square. A calling to account. These are the days Smith Wigglesworth prophesied about of a people of Spirit and Truth. We can't have John Piper or others dismissing the work of the Spirit as Kundilini spirits but we can't have Bill Johnson being ignorant of anything beyond Romans 5 and just preaching Holy Spirit anointing. There are more Gates than the Fountain Gate and the Water Gate. And so this is the initial purpose of the Gate of Miphkad.....the judgment or tallying or census Gate. It's checking that all is present and correct before we go into hyperdrive. What's hyperdrive. Well it was the two winds prophecy of the 80s. If we don't bend our heads into the first wind we won't be part of the second Kingdom wind. Hyperdrive is Gate 11....the Gate of Ephraim....the double portion....whose prototypes were given to the Body as a trailer of the film to come....in the form of John G Lake and Uks Smith Wigglesworth and of course a ton of others. Gate 12 is as a result of Gate 11. Gate 12 is called the Prison Gate and is that Gate of intercession martyrdom which begins the whole cycle again bringing in more Sheep and Fish....the first 2 gates.....and so we go round again until the earth is filled with people who have discovered Jesus, the All in All.

The only justifiable self effort is complete abandonment by John Madden

14 August 2014 at 09:01 Facebook note

I've made so many mistakes in my life that many times I felt that I was sitting in a penalty box. And I'm sitting in this box with a bag of stuff. The problem is I carry my own bag of tools made up of man made psychology, philosophy, theology and only God knows what else. I have false beliefs that I must “do something” or that I need to “let go”of something. It is my own independent instincts to do what is right that is displaced. A Train wreck unable to do anything. I do need to turn it all over to God. I cant turn it over to God even if what I needed to turn over was a beach ball. A train wreck can not turn over a beach ball. I need that miracle that Jerry Garcia sings about..I cant let go of my all for Gods all.

Peace, love, and joy exist within the heart of God. It was at the cross that this maddening mind and stony heart of mine was removed and a heart after God's own heart was placed in . THE BIBLE SAYS IT . It is a reality. I have no grip in my hands to hold it. When I have a belief in the facts of being made new in Christ, and abandon all of my methods, maybe I will begin to experience the fruit of the Spirit in my life.

When we take the mess that we are, when we see our immoral traits, when bring into view the cross of Christ, when we see the meaning of the cross, and bundle all of this together maybe we will see that sought over miracle. This means that we don't produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives (personally) by applying principles beyond Christ crucified, resurrected and ascended for us

We do nothing on our own. Christ wants to do everything for us, by and through Him. He knows us. We dont know Him. His hand is on our life. We cant grab a hold of His hand due to our grave frailties Christ has already placed us above all the powers that work against us. We fight the good fight by placing our belief in the shed blood and crucified body of Christ as the ONLY way to find life in Him. It is then that the Holy Spirit takes over our life because of our belief. OUR LIFE MAY REMAIN IN APPARENT DISARRAY But in this the fruit of the Spirit becomes evident in some way.

Chris Welch  - It's all about the choice of self-existence. And REST is all about sinking back to God's own pure LIFE in us as us....BEING ENOUGH.
Self-existence looked real cool.
But as we "put on that avatar"....we never realised we became the devil's avatar for him in the earth. "Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you."
or submit to the simplicity of His Life functioning spontaneously through your heart, firmly yank off the avatar equipment of the supposedly "independent self delusion"....and like Jesus announced finally after 33.5 years in the Upper Room "Hey....the DEVIL HAS NOTHING IN ME."
